This Christmas join us for a selection of Christmas activities for all the family.
New for 2025 we have our immersive Christmas grotto, where your little ones get the opportunity to create beautiful baubles and biscuits with our elves, storytime with Mrs Claus and then meet Santa himself. This experience also includes a festive snack box which they will get to enjoy with the elves!
Returning this year we also have A Glimpse of Christmas Past, a guided tour of our expansive tunnel network discovering Christmas' of the past, including WW2 and Victoriana.
We also have amazing catering options with our Festive Afternoon Tea and amazing homemade Christmas dinners.
We can't wait to share our Christmas cheer with you.

A Glimpse of Christmas Past
Join us here at Fort Amherst for our brand new interactive tour experiencing Christmas through the ages.
We start during World War 2 and travel through Victorian and Napoleonic finally ending with the tradition of Wassailng.
Afterwards, included in your ticket, join us in the cafe for a mulled wine and mince pie (hot chocolate for the children).
This experience lasts approximately 90 minutes. Parking is included in your ticket.
Do to the Fort's structure you will need to be able to climb steep steps in some areas.
